Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how the IEDDC Foundation (the Foundation, we, us) uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies and browser storage?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. Similar technologies, such as local storage, allow a website to save small amounts of information in your browser. They can be strictly necessary for a website to function, or they can be used for other purposes such as analytics or advertising.
Our approach
We have designed this website to respect your privacy by default:
- The public website does not set any tracking, analytics or advertising cookies.
- The public website does not load resources from third parties. Fonts and other resources are self-hosted, and there are no social media plugins, embedded videos or maps.
- Because we only use strictly necessary technologies, we do not display a cookie consent banner.
Strictly necessary storage on the public website
The website may store your language preference locally in your browser, so that pages are displayed in the language you have chosen. This information is strictly necessary to provide the service you have requested, is not used to track you and is not shared with anyone. You can delete it at any time through your browser settings.
Staff administration area
The website includes an administration area that is used only by authorised staff of the Foundation to manage content. When staff members sign in, the Foundation's own identity service (Keycloak) sets strictly necessary authentication session cookies. These cookies:
- are set only for authenticated staff and never for ordinary visitors to the public website;
- are used solely to authenticate staff members and keep their sessions secure;
- expire when the session ends or after a period of inactivity.
| Category | Purpose | Set by | Applies to |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary — language preference (local storage) | Remembers your chosen language | This website | All visitors, where applicable |
| Strictly necessary — authentication session cookies | Secure sign-in to the administration area | The Foundation's own identity service (Keycloak) | Authenticated staff only |

Analytics in the future
No analytics tools are currently enabled. If we decide to introduce analytics in the future, they will be loaded only after you have given your explicit opt-in consent, and you will be able to withdraw that consent at any time. This Cookie Policy will be updated before any such change takes effect.
Managing cookies and browser storage
You can view, block or delete cookies and locally stored data through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary storage may mean that your language preference is not remembered; for staff, blocking authentication cookies will prevent sign-in to the administration area.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in applicable law. The current version is always available on this page.
